As we head toward our first HAFF funded project gaining Practical Completion in March 2026, we reflect on the achievements of Colab’s Social and Affordable Housing team and their continued strong momentum across Queensland in supporting Community Housing Providers (CHPs) to translate opportunity into funded, deliverable projects.
In 2023 and 2024, Colab played a key role in the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) process, successfully assisting CHPs to identify sites, structure transactions and secure funding for multiple essential Social and Affordable Housing projects throughout SE QLD. This outcome reflects not only a deep understanding of the funding landscape, but also Colab’s ability to align feasibility, planning, delivery risk and funding requirements into compelling, investable propositions.
Since the HAFF round, Colab’s appointment across the sector has continued to expand. We are currently delivering 11 social and affordable housing projects across Queensland, with individual project values ranging from $2 million to $121 million. These projects span early-stage site identification and feasibility studies through to full development management and project delivery, across metropolitan, regional and priority development areas in conjunction with organisations such as Economic Development Queensland.
